HOW IS THE NIGHT TO SEE
THE STARS IN ATACAMA?
EQUIPMENT 🔭
Atacamito, Schmidt Cassegrain 14'
The main optic has a 14″ aperture and a Schmidt Cassegrain design. It includes a Hyperstar focal reducer that converts the system to an F/1.9 allowing wide images to be obtained with a very low exposure time. It is possible to obtain images of distant galaxies in only 30 seconds!.
Andesite, Rowe-Ackermann 11'
Fast, wide-field 11″ f/2.2 optical design with rare-earth glass for images free of false colors, coma and field curvature. The optimized 43.3 mm large image circle keeps pinpoint stars far away. corners of even the largest astroimaging sensors, while the usable field extends further to 52 mm for larger format sensors.
